If you have sent yourself a password reset email, it may take a few minutes for the email to arrive.
However, if it has been longer than~10 minutes and you have not received the "Reset Password Instructions" email from us, there are a few things that could be happening.
1. We are only able to send reset password emails to email addresses associated with a Dictionary.com account. If no account exists under the email address you entered into the reset password page, no email will arrive in your inbox.
2. Ensure you've sent the email to the correct email address as associated with your account (double check for typos!)
- If you created the account with an email address containing a typo, any password reset emails will never arrive to your account. You may need to create a new account.
- If you created the account with the correct email address spelling but entered a typo when sending yourself the Password Reset email, you won't receive an email to your email address. You'll need to send a new reset password email, using the correct spelling.
4. If you know an account exists but you didn't receive an email, we recommend you check your 'Spam' or 'Junk' folders, as sometimes these slip through. Please ensure you've set email inbox to be able to receive emails from noreply@dictionary.com, and not have them sent to your spam or junk folders.
5. Try sending yourself a new Password Reset email
