If you struggle to login to your Dictionary.com/Thesaurus.com account, there are several steps you can take to try to sign in.
Don't remember your Dictionary.com/Thesaurus.com account password?
- Send yourself a password reset email, and follow the steps to reset the password on your account.
- A few notes on the password:
- Passwords are case sensitive.
- The password you used to create your account was required to use at least 8 characters.
- Include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character.
- We can only send password reset emails to email addresses which have a Dictionary.com account associated with them. If an account doesn't exist, or there's a typo on your email, you won't receive an email.

- this account will still not be associated with any purchases. Those will continue to only be linked to your app/play store account under-which you purchased them.
- these dictionary.com accounts will allow you to manage your word lists across devices
- To date, our separate, stand-alone iPad apps (free and pro iPad apps) do not have accounts.
- Also, your Dictionary.com account is different than the account you use to log in to our Help Center. Logging into the Dictionary.com account will not log you into the Help Center, and vice versa. These have unique logins and will require you to login, separately.

You can always send yourself a password reset email.
- If you have no luck finding which account you had used, you are welcome to create a new account with a current email address.
No longer have access to the email account associated with your account?
- If you know the email and password combination, you can login to your account as normal. Once logged in, you'll then want to change the email address on your account. Instructions here: How Do I Change The Email Address On My Account?
