You can delete your Dictionary.com/Thesaurus.com account, through your account management settings. Please take care with deleting your account, because once an account has been deleted, it cannot be undone or recovered.
To delete your account, follow these steps:
- Login to your Dictionary.com account
- Tap on account menu
- Tap on “Account”
- At the bottom of the page, see “Delete My Account”. If you’d like to delete the account, tap “Delete My Account”
- A confirmation box will display. Please do review the details, as account deletion cannot be undone or recovered
- If you confirm and want to delete your account entirely, click “Delete Account”
- Your account will then be deleted permanently. We will send you an email confirming the deletion.
We do hope you'll continue to enjoy Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com, after your account has been deleted!
Notes:
- Once a user account has been deleted, Dictionary.com deletes the entire account and all user information associated with it. We are unable to recover deleted accounts or content associated with them.
- If you regret deleting your account, while you won't be able to recover it, you can always create a new account!
- These user accounts are not associated with purchases made from within the Apple App or Google Play Store— either an in-app purchase, or a purchase of our Premium/Pro apps.
